Federico Pita is a political scientist graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He is the Founder and President of the Afro-Argentine organisation Diáspora Africana de la Argentina (DIAFAR), Director of the Nucleus for the Study of Racism and Inequalities at the Metropolitan University for Education and Labour (UMET), and Coordinator of the Working Group "Anti-racism and Afro-descendance in the Global South" at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). In the editorial field, he is the editor of the book Antirracismo. Pensamiento y praxis en clave afrolatinoamericana (2025) and editor of Negrx, the anti-racist section of the prestigious Argentine newspaper Página/12. Additionally, he has featured as a speaker at international forums on issues of historical reparations, Afro-descendance, race, and racism.
